Must reside in the following states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Utah, Washington, or Wyoming, unless you have relevant agricultural experience.
Salary: $80,000 - $105,000 DOE

Our nonprofit client helps food and agriculture companies expand into global markets by providing programs and services to enhance export success. They are looking for an experienced non-profit finance and business leader to join their team and oversee financial operations, compliance, and administration. This role reports directly to the Executive Director and supervises a team of six, including claims, HR, and administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Oversight: Manage full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, payroll, financial reporting, program reimbursements).
- Compliance & Auditing: Ensure adherence to Market Access Program (MAP), Agricultural Trade Promotion (ATP), and Regional Agricultural Promotion Program (RAPP) regulations. Act as a liaison for audits.
- Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead financial planning & analysis (FP&A), cash flow management, and reporting to leadership and the Board.
- Claims & Contract Management: Oversee the Claims team to ensure timely payments and compliance with financial guidelines.
- Human Resources & Administration: Supervise the Office Manager responsible for HR Coordination, IT, and office administration, the Claims Manager and the Claims Coordinator team.
- Legal & Risk Management: Ensure valid permits, contracts, tax compliance, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Board & Leadership Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for business reviews and Board meetings.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with leadership to support financial decision-making and optimize financial modeling.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3-5+ years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, and fiscal analysis.
- 2+ years of experience managing direct reports, with a strong leadership background.
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial compliance, and nonprofit funding regulations.
- FIS experience required.
- Strong project/program management, budgeting, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to travel overnight (domestic & international ~10%).
