Low Voltage Journeyman Electrician
This position is responsible for the installation of all our client's alarm systems and equipment in accordance with the procedures and standards established by Sonitrol and all applicable codes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Develops a complete understanding of the proper techniques for installing and servicing Sonitrol alarm systems and all Sonitrol-approved equipment.
- Completes installations as scheduled and coordinated by the Installation Supervisor & Installation Coordinator.
- Troubleshoot, service, and apply preventive maintenance of all Sonitrol alarm systems and equipment in accordance with the procedures and standards established by Sonitrol and all applicable codes.
- Completes all paperwork associated with the installation of customer's systems and forwards such paperwork to the appropriate person upon completion of each system.
- Maintains and operates assigned vehicles in accordance with company policy.
- Ensures that vehicle stock is maintained and reports special inventory requirements to the Inventory Clerk or Installation Supervisor.
- Pre-surveys future installations as directed by the Installation Supervisor.
- Assists in the training of all new Installers and Service Technicians, as directed.
- Collaborating closely with the Verification Center and the monitoring stations affiliated with Sonitrol. Responsible for setting up systems and conducting tests to ensure proper functionality.
- Participates in the on-call rotation for after-hours service (currently every 9-10 weeks)
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent climbing of ladders and crawling through attics, crawl spaces, etc.
- Frequent standing for long periods of time in the performance of job duties
- Ability to communicate and interact professionally with customers outside the company, with both residential and commercial clients
REQUIREMENTS
- Requires a minimum of a high school education or equivalent. Some electronics schooling preferred.
- Limited Energy Journeyman's license required
- One year of alarm installation experience preferred
- Experience pulling wires for hard-wired electronic equipment preferred
- Must have a valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
- Provide your own hand tools

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
