We have an immediate need for the night shift, 10 pm- 6 am! Sonitrol, a nationally recognized leader in electronic security solutions is looking for a highly skilled Alarm Monitoring Operator to join their team in the Everett, WA offices! Sonitrol serves and secures businesses, schools, organizations, and homes in the Pacific Northwest 24/7. This organization believes that each employee makes a significant contribution to their success. Alarm Monitoring Operators operate from established and well-known procedures. Extensive on-the-job, one-on-one training provided! 

This position is responsible for monitoring customer’s security, fire, and other integrated systems. The Alarm Monitoring Operator position is responsible for verifying alarm system activations and responding appropriately with exceptional customer service top of mind in each interaction! The work as an Alarm Monitoring Operator is relatively diverse. Although there are routine and repetitive tasks, the high degree of complexity related to the essential functions requires flexibility and the ability to integrate new and varied information continuously.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Demonstrate ability to exercise judgment, use discretion, and make decisions on own initiative. Navigate ambiguous situations professionally and effectively.
  • Interpersonal and de-escalation skills, fluent in English, demonstrating professional phone etiquette to both internal and external customers.
  • Must be able to do multiple tasks with accuracy at one time while being able to concentrate on the details of each task.
  • Possess above average follow up, organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve and trouble shoot in a technically oriented environment, above average computer skills.
  • Experience with a multi-line phone system is preferred.
  • 10-key by touch is preferred
  • Work closely and communicate effectively with team members and cross team partners.
  • Exemplify high attention to detail and data entry accuracy.

Requirements:

  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum one year of customer service-related experience required.
  • Minimum of 6 months of data entry/computer experience required.
  • Type a minimum of 50 wpm preferred.
  • Familiarity with security systems/monitoring experience preferred.
  • Ability to sit for long periods, performing work on a computer/phone in an office setting with noise and sometimes escalated environments.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test, including Cannabis.
  • Immediate need on the night shift 10 pm-6 am, including holidays and weekends.
